I blame Anne's kids for this one...

Rocks

Knuckles, rocks, fists - whatever you call it.

Anne's kids taught this little trick to Madeleine. Now whenever Andrew asks for knuckles (rocks, whatever) she does this little fist bump and then comes running full speed to me - MOMMY!!! It's all equal. So cute when I was watching Cammie today and Madeleine comes over to her to give her undoubtedly (is that a word?) her first rocks. Crazy, I know, but I think it's adorable!

Madeleine loves to love on babies, it's precious. She gets a real high-pitched voice when she's "talking" to them and usually says, "Baby" over and over again. She loves her new cousin and when Cammie has one of her crying spells, Madeleine tries to help find ways to make her happy. She's such a little mommy! She also loves to give kisses (on the head). Don't worry, I was able to capture a few of just Cammie before she started in a wail. Definitely not perfect by any means, I was being lazy and only setup one of my lights, but I know Cassidie will still love them, and really that's what matters in the end.

This one's for Grandma...

We finally got our Valentine's Card from Grandma for Madeleine. She was so sweet and sent all the great grandchildren musical cards for Valentine's Day. I knew everyone had gotten theirs, and we were still waiting for ours to arrive. I was getting sick because I was beginning to think that it got lost in the mail. Grandma called me the other day to tell me the card was returned to her for extra postage (out of all the cards hers was the only one returned for an extra  $.16  - puh-lease!). We got it on Saturday - YEA!!!

Mad-duh-yufhsuleu (oh well, it's a beginning)

She did it,  she finally said her name (well, sort of!). She always picks out mommy and daddy in pictures and this time - surprise! She usually calls herself "baby", it was so cute for us to hear her say her name for the first time.

Georgia Aquarium

  038
Well it has only been open now for how many years and we are just now going? What can I say? We were too cheap to pay full price (yup, definitely!), we didn't want to see exhibits in crowds (of course, how fun is that?), or we didn't want to have to schedule a time slot to go (seriously, I have a hard enough time scheduling bedtime!) - undeniably it was all the above!!!

We started off by taking a quick snap shot with "Depot" the fish that looks strangely like a Disney character.022blog

Next we landed in what looks like a mall of aquarium exhibits - it was hard to know where to go, but somehow we managed. We saw fish, fish, and more fish. Overall I would say I am glad we went to see what all the hype was about, but I think I like the Chattanooga Aquarium better and above all I think I've decided I'm not so much an aquarium kind of girl. I did like the touchable exhibits (I got to touch sea anemone, starfish, bone sharks, and sting rays), but I'd much rather go snorkeling/diving and see the fishies that way.

Here's some pics from our day...

In case you were wondering, Andrew's holding Madeleine in most of the pictures because he didn't think it would be a good idea to bring the stroller so he got the lucky task of being the Maddy Transporter.

I Love Community Service!

I had the pleasure of being the photographer for our county's daddy daughter dance - it was so much fun!  The little girls were little princesses and you could tell their dad's were so proud to be out on a "date" with their little sweetheart(s) - some dad's were lucky enough to have more than one.

Our county does such a great job in their events and event planning, it was a blast to be included and everyone there was so kind.  I even ran into some old friends from my neighborhood and old friends from the gym - small world!

I am shooting another dance next weekend for a school; I can't wait!  I so wish I had pictures to share, but getting a model release from that many people would have been total chaos, maybe I'll snag one next week so I can post on my blog.

I hope everyone's Valentine Day is fabulous!  I have a sneaky surprise date lined up for Andrew tonight, I'll post the details later.

Happy Valentine's Day!
