I scream, you scream, we all scream for...

I miss these kids being all together. Katelyn's visit has ended and even though Dylan's technically in the same metro, he just about could be on the other side of the world - I'm lazy and don't make the hour drive as often as I should. Kimberly and I did make it to Kayleen's side of the world for a day and had a blast swimming and afterwards we took the kids to get ice cream. Madeleine has hers all the way down to the napkin and wouldn't let me remove it - no, I don't let her eat napkins at home.

I love how she's eyeing Dylan's.

Dylan liked the whole thing!

A pregnant Kayleen on the bench and I love how Madeleine is walking on her heels. Those shoes almost get her more compliments then the little red boots she wore during the winter. Just today she was able to put them on all by herself!

Madeleine and Dylan climbing the steps - if you are a longtime reader, you might recognize the dress. Yep, she was able to wear the exact same one last summer.

And a tale of the same photo processed two different ways, I'm leaning toward liking the funky mix on it - which do you like better?

Another funky one - do you know how much fun it is to keep 3 kids 4 and under on a rock wall, hmmmmmm?

With Dylan, not very easy!

Especially when he falls backwards! (he wasn't hurt)

I think the wall shots are done, I love Katelyn's eyes and Madeleine's "gimmie" hands!

Dad's first mate - love it!!! Don't you love the telephone pole growing out of his head? Picture casualty when you're running after this adventurous 2 year old.

K-K as Madeleine affectionately calls her.

Don't kill me Kim for posting this picture, in her defense it was RIGHT after swimming and she looks a MILLION times hotter than this in real life, she normally looks like this...

To Grandma's House

While Andrew has been busy, I've gotten to spend some precious last minute time with my Grandma and extended family. While Kimberly was in town we drove down together. We made a late start leaving, but thankfully Kimberly has Wee wees for the car (aka dual portable DVD players, Madeleine has just taken to calling them Wee wees and I think it's hysterical!!!) so the kids had fun watching movies as Kimberly and I were able to spend some quality sister time together.

We had a lot of fun hanging out at Grandma's house and also got to spend some time at the beach. I mentioned before that my Grandma is technology savvy and here's my proof!

She's one hot grandma, this picture doesn't even do her justice!

Almost every time we go to visit we spend a little time at the cemetery that  my Granddaddy was buried.

My Grandma makes my favorite crowder peas and we stuff ourselves on a yummy Sunday dinner, this time it was porkchops and for some reason her brownies always taste the best even if I do them the exact same way. I love that my Grandma remembers the things that I like to make sure they are there when we come down, we also got our signature powdered donuts for breakfast.

We also made a stop at Barbara Jeans for lunch and I took the restless kids outside.

Father's Day 2009

I don't have any pictures from Andrew opening his Father's Day presents because he was in his unmentionables, but the tradition we started last year was to give him a new tie for every Father's Day. We actually didn't think he would be in town, but at the last minute he was. I had already made plans to be with my dad for Father's Day because I thought Andrew would be out of town, he was a good sport to skip the dinner with his dad, but we did make a late appearance at his sister's to give his dad a hug.

I am so grateful for my husband, my dad, and my dad-in-law for all they do for me and Madeleine.

Dad opening his Father's Day card, you can see that Madeleine put her own special touch on the back.

I love my family!

Poor man's swimming pool...

Both mine and Andrew's parent's have pools, but sometimes the hassle of leaving home makes me wish I just had my own private pool. Walmart solved that with my $15 pool. The only problem is I can't stand it to get nasty in between swims so I dump it after every use which makes the refill water COLD! Oh well, I bring out Madeleine's bath toys and she still loves to play outside.
